Self-Portrait 1999

Antipodes is designed and populated by the mind of Sylvia Parker and others by extension whom she's attempted to designate clearly.

We are never alone.

Sylvia was born in Druid City Hospital in 1965. Her mother was unconscious the entire time.

In 1985 she moved to New York City where she has been, excepting short interruptions, ever since. Most people go to New York hoping to be discovered. Sylvia went there hoping to disappear. It hasn't worked, so far.

Sylvia thinks of her work as a cacophony of lies in the process of silencing themselves. She likes to refer to herself in the third person. She is indebted to Matalik-Emil for the conception of thermometer outside earth.

And a special debt of gratitude is owed to-

The Strong Arm of Knowledge and Information

And

The Heavy Hand of Meaning
