R.H. Douglas is a writer, performance artist and storyteller. Her work has appeared in Creation Fire Caribbean Women Poets (Sister Vision 1990), Life Notes Personal Writing by Black Women (Norton 1992), Patchwork of Dreams Immigrant Stories (Sprit That Moves Us Press 1993) and a variety of literary journals. She wrote, directed and performed Diary of a Twelve Year Old A Womans Story at Living the Dream Theater, Columbus Ohio in 1997. She has performed her poetry at NYC venues including The Knitting Factory, Skidmore College, Fisk Library and Audrey Lorde Center. She curated The Muse Magic Reading and Performance Series from 1998 1999. She has developed and presented workshops and radio programs on storytelling and womens healing. |
